This fall, Software Pro Digital is exhibiting at two of the most important events on the pet and veterinary calendar: New York Vet at the Javits Center in Manhattan on October 29 and 30, 2026, where we appear in partnership with Napollo Software Design, and the Pet Boarding and Daycare Expo in Hershey, Pennsylvania, from November 3 to 6, 2026.

Both appearances follow SUPERZOO 2026 in Las Vegas, where our team spent the show talking with pet retailers, boarding and daycare owners, trainers, groomers, product brands, veterinary companies, manufacturers, distributors and founders. This article brings together what we heard there, what we see across our pet and veterinary clients every week, and what any pet business owner or practice manager can act on today.

If you are looking for a pet marketing company that understands both the care side and the product side of this industry, or a veterinary marketing agency in NYC, this guide explains how we think about growth.

Why the pet industry is different to market

Pet care is a trust purchase. A pet owner choosing boarding, daycare, training or a veterinary clinic is not comparing prices on a spreadsheet. They are deciding who to trust with a member of the family. That changes what marketing needs to do.

The pet economy also runs on two engines at once. Local providers such as boarding facilities, daycare centers, trainers, groomers and veterinary practices need a full calendar. Pet brands, stores and suppliers need product moving off shelves and out of online stores. The same company can need both. A multi location pet retailer might sell food and supplies while also offering grooming, boarding and self serve dog washing.

Good pet marketing respects both engines. It builds trust for services and builds understanding for products.

What we heard at SUPERZOO 2026

SUPERZOO brings together pet brands, independent and multi location retailers, grooming, boarding and daycare operators, veterinary businesses, manufacturers, distributors and industry professionals. Four themes came up again and again at our booth.

1. The full funnel matters more than any single channel

Owners did not ask us which one channel to invest in. They asked how SEO, answer engine optimization for AI search, Google Ads, Meta advertising, the website, the CRM, follow up, reviews, retention and sales should work together. Most had tried individual tactics. Few had connected them.

2. Scaling tenfold is an operations question as much as a marketing one

Growth is not only about generating more demand. Leadership, systems, technology, customer experience, inventory, operations and team accountability all have to grow alongside it. A boarding facility that doubles its inquiries without a booking system that can keep up simply creates more stress.

3. AI and automation, without losing the human side

Operators wanted to know how AI could help with follow up, bookings, customer communication, reporting and internal workflows. They were equally clear that pet owners expect a personal experience. The businesses getting this right use AI to clear repetitive work so staff have more time for pets and people.

4. Product brands need the complete customer experience

Pet product brands focused on branding, ecommerce, retail presentation, packaging, fulfillment and what happens after the first purchase. For products that need explaining, like a self cleaning litter box or a new kind of cat litter, education is the marketing.

The local pet care growth system

For boarding, daycare, training, grooming and veterinary businesses, we see the same building blocks behind consistent growth.

Google Business Profile and the map pack

The three businesses shown with a map for searches like "dog boarding near me" capture a large share of local calls. Ranking there depends on a complete profile, accurate categories, steady recent reviews with responses, real photos, consistent business details across the web and strong service pages on the website.

Google Local Services Ads and search campaigns

Local Services Ads place a business above the regular results and charge per lead rather than per click. Across three recent Local Services and Search programs for pet grooming, boarding, daycare and training operators in Florida, Maryland, Northern Virginia and Illinois, our team delivered 1,311 charged leads on $22,885 of lead spend, a blended cost of $17 per lead. Each charged lead was a pet owner calling or messaging directly from the search result.

  • Tampa Bay, Florida: a multi service pet business received 933 charged leads at $12 per lead, appearing at the top of search on 98.65% of eligible impressions.
  • Maryland and Northern Virginia: a training and boarding operator received 150 charged leads at $18 per lead, with 99.47% top of search visibility.
  • Greater Chicago: a cat boarding business received 228 charged leads at $38 per lead, reflecting a dense metro market and a narrower service category.

A website that converts trust into bookings

Pet owners want to know where their dog will sleep, who is there overnight, what vaccinations are required, how incidents are handled and whether they can tour first. Real photos, short videos, clear policies and an easy booking path matter more than design trends. One Florida dog boarding and daycare facility saw search impressions grow more than 1,500% after we combined conversion rate optimization, SEO and paid search, and its paid campaigns produced more than 250 conversions.

Fix the foundation first, then add channels

A Virginia dog boarding and training facility came to us with a website that held back everything built on top of it. We rebuilt the site first, then added local SEO, Google Ads, Local Services Ads and maintenance. Its paid campaigns have produced more than 2,700 conversions and Local Services Ads more than 900 qualified leads.

Recurring revenue through CRM and pet business management

The most profitable pet care customer is the one who comes back. Daycare packages, memberships, vaccination reminders, rebooking prompts, birthday messages and win back campaigns all depend on a CRM that knows each pet and owner. Our pet CRM and pet business management work connects bookings, records, reminders and follow up to the marketing that brings customers in.

The veterinary practice growth system

Veterinary practices share the trust dynamics of pet care, with added clinical and regulatory considerations. For clinics and animal hospitals, especially in competitive markets like New York City, we focus on:

  • Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization for urgent and routine care searches.
  • Service pages for wellness, dental, surgery, emergency and specialty services that answer real client questions.
  • Google Ads and Local Services Ads tuned for new client acquisition.
  • Review generation and reputation management.
  • AI assisted front desk communication that captures calls and messages after hours and routes them to staff.
  • Recall and reminder automation for vaccinations, dental cleanings and annual exams.

Our veterinary marketing services in NYC are built around these fundamentals, with tracking that shows which channel produced each new client.

The pet product and retail growth system

For pet stores, ecommerce brands and B2B suppliers, the priorities shift:

  • Ecommerce SEO built as a hierarchy, from category to collection to product, supported by helpful content.
  • Google Shopping and Performance Max with clean product data.
  • Meta, TikTok and creator content that shows the product solving a real problem in the first few seconds.
  • Subscription and replenishment flows for food, litter, treats and supplements.
  • Wholesale and retailer pages, spec sheets and trade show follow up for brands selling into stores.
  • Careful claims and organic strength in regulated wellness categories where ad platforms restrict promotion.

AI search and answer engine optimization for pet businesses

More pet owners now ask AI assistants which boarding facility, trainer or veterinary clinic to choose. These tools build answers from what is written about a business across the web. Businesses that are easy to understand and easy to verify are more likely to be mentioned. That means clear service pages that answer specific questions, consistent business information, reviews that describe real experiences and credible mentions on reputable sites.
